Built by Africans,
for Africa's economy
We're building the financial infrastructure Africa needs โ fast, reliable, and affordable cross-border payments that put African businesses on equal footing with the world.
Our story
Payve was founded in 2022 in Lagos, Nigeria, by Emeka Okafor and Adaeze Nwosu โ two fintech veterans who had watched African businesses struggle with slow, expensive, and opaque cross-border payments for years.
The problem was clear: African businesses were losing billions of dollars every year to excessive FX spreads, opaque fees, and payments infrastructure that was built for Western markets and retrofitted for Africa. Meanwhile, mobile money adoption and digital commerce were exploding across the continent.
We set out to build from the ground up โ natively African infrastructure designed for the realities of doing business across borders on the continent. Our platform connects directly to local bank rails and mobile money networks, giving businesses the speed and transparency they deserve.
Our team spans Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. We are building payments infrastructure that connects directly to local bank rails and mobile money networks across the continent, with new corridors launching every quarter.

Reliability
Every payment counts. We design for 99.99% uptime and operate with redundant infrastructure so your business never stops.
Transparency
No hidden fees, no surprise FX markups. What you see on the quote is exactly what gets debited.
Speed
African businesses deserve the same speed as their global counterparts. We process payouts in minutes, not days.
Inclusion
From a Lagos SME to a Nairobi startup, our platform works for every business โ regardless of size or sector.
